A Day Of Disgrace For The United Nations

They came for the filmmaker in the dead of night.  Heavily armed law enforcement agents removed him from his home, and transported him to central command for questioning.  He had produced a movie that ran contrary to the head of state's beliefs.  In fact, the leader of the country had called the man a "shadowy character", and characterized his movie as "crude and disgusting".  As much as this might sound like 1930's Germany, it happened 10 days ago in Cerritos, CA.

Of course the governmental line is that the filmmaker was being questioned about a possible parole violation connected to his uploading of his film to Youtube.  Seems like a likely reason for multiple agents of the LA Sheriff's department to descend on the man's house after midnight.

I know, I know, this is old news right?  Maybe so, but today it is flavored with the bitter taste of fascism.  Yesterday, the leader of the country addressed the United Nations General Assembly.  He apparently didn't think the filmmaker was old news, as he felt the need to prostrate himself and his country before that den of thieves again and again.  He peppered his speech with flowery references to freedom of speech and religion, saying "the strongest weapon against hateful speech is not repression, it is more speech- the voices of tolerance that rally against bigotry and blasphemy, and lift up the values of understanding and mutual respect".

Then came today.  For those who don't know, today is Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the year for Jewish people across the globe.  Today, behind the same podium at the UN, on Yom Kippur, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will address the General Assembly.  The very same Ahmadinejad that has promised to "annihilate" the Jewish people, and "obliterate" Israel from the globe.

That the United States allowed this man to enter our country is reprehensible.  That the UN allowed this man to speak on the holiest of days for Jews everywhere is blasphemy of the highest order.  That President Barack Obama agreed to speak from the same podium as this man is unforgivable.  That the majority of Jews in the United States will likely vote again for Barack Obama in less than 6 weeks is sad and unfathomable.

If Barack Obama had any sense of decency, any sort of understanding of right and wrong, he would have sent this message to the United Nations on Monday.....

Dear Secretary General Ki-moon,

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is a terrorist, a megalomaniacal despot who has vowed to annihilate the followers of Judaism and to obliterate another member nation from the map.  Incredibly, the UN has decided to give this criminal a platform from which to spread his hatred and vitriol.  To add grievous insult to blatant injury, you are allowing him to speak on Yom Kippur, the holiest of holy days for the Jewish people.  As President of the United States, I refuse to speak from the same platform as such a man, nor will I allow any representative of the United States to do so.

Monday Musings With The Crew

• My oldest son and I went down to the office of our county assessor last week.  I am transferring the title of a truck to him, and in order for him to license it he needed a personal property tax statement.  Since he is 20, and up to this point has owned no taxable personal property, I figured it would be a proverbial piece of baklava!  Wrongo bureaucracy breath!  What he needed is called a "Statement of Non-Assessment", basically a document stating he has had no personal property and owes no tax.  We walked up to the empty counter, and tremulously faced the 4 old crones sitting on stools on the other side.  When told what we needed, the hag-in-chief smirked and said we had to prove that we actually needed the document, we weren't just entitled to documentation proving he owed no tax.  I thought, "Hmmm, conservative blogger massacres 4 in assessor's office".  When we dutifully provided the "justification" for our request (the title of the vehicle), the sacred document was grudgingly supplied to us.  I said to my son as left the counter, "can't wait until she's in charge of my healthcare".  

Instead of 21 years, how about
21 seconds in front of a firing squad?

• Say, how about that Norwegian justice system?  Anders Breivik received a 21 year sentence in an Oslo court last week.  Let's see, that works out to just under 100 days for each of the 77 people he murdered last year.  The Helsinki Committee for Human Rights calls the ridiculously lenient sentence "a triumph for human rights".  I sure am glad this country is not a path to become more like Europe.  

• Remember going to those wild parties in your youth?  Somebody always got into a fight, and usually 3-4 other beer-soaked teenagers would join in.  A few bloody noses and scraped knuckles and you'd call it good, right?  Well, not if you are a follower of the religion of peace.  A party in Afghanistan (now there's a malaprop for ya!) was broken up by radical Islamic insurgents.  The night's festivities ended with the beheading of 17 party-goers.  Now I don't know about you, but that seems a tad drastic.

• I saw this headline at Foxnews.com....."Grandmother gives birth to own grandson".  I quickly pulled up the article and was very disappointed to read that it had absolutely nothing to do with Morgan Freeman.  Just some Portland granny carrying her daughter's child through a surrogacy.  I still think Morgan had something to do with it.

• It appears that the British royal family has patched things up as they have just released their new official portrait.......

• Addendum:  After completing this post, I was reading a story about protesters at the Republican convention in Tampa.  One of the protesters is Cara Jennings, described as a "voter outreach organizer".  Here's a quiz....how do you know if you are a complete and total wingnut with no redeeming societal value?  Answer:  When you have this sentence written about you in a major American newspaper....."Jennings, who wore a pink, neck to knees vagina outfit decorated with sparkles, said she was protesting the GOP's position on abortion rights."

Yep, it's true.  I'm back from  vacation with a few brand new musings for ya!

• In his latest attempt to treat all Americans equally and avoid any semblance of class warfare, President Obama today will propose raising income taxes on everyone who makes more than 250K a year.  After all, the "rich" need to pay their fair share.  So.....we once again arrive at the great unanswered question of our time.....Exactly what percentage of their income is "their fare share"?  So far, no one in Dear Leader's regime has let slip the obvious answer (100%), but I bet if we get a couple snorts into Joe Biden he will spill the beans.  

• Sandra Fluke and the rest of her liberal cronies who accused conservatives of waging "war" on women might want to go here and watch this video.  Nice little piece from CNN about an Afghani woman being publicly executed amidst a cheering crowd of Taliban men. The religion of peace claims another victim.  

• Lynaa Dobbins celebrated her son's birthday party at a Pennsylvania Chuck E. Cheese in real style over the weekend.  She attacked the new girlfriend of her son's father with a knife and a brick.  Some bystanders may have reported hearing her scream "the giant rat, can't anyone else see the giant rat?".  The woman who was cut with the knife was actually thankful for the incident, as it let her "get out of there without having to eat any pizza".  

• Finally, there is the really big news of the weekend.....Barney Frank got married!  In a lovely ceremony officiated by Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick, Rep. Frank married his long-time sweetie James Ready.  I went through all my mail several times, but couldn't find my invitation.  I was out of town anyway, but I wish the mailman hadn't lost it as it would have made a lovely keepsake.  Here's to a lifetime of happiness for the lovely couple, not that there's anything wrong with that.  I give it 16 months on the outside.  

7.5 Million People Want to Kill You!

Scary thought right?  The very concept that 7.5 million people actively seek your death is an idea that should give anyone pause.  Well, the good news just keeps coming.  They don't just want you dead, but your family, friends, co-workers, and neighbors as well. Who are these people and why do they want to kill me, you might ask.  There is a single answer to both questions.  They want you dead because they are Muslim and you are not.

This is the "Moderate" 95.5%.... ?

I can hear it now, "Whoa, Sahib!  Islam is the religion of peace.  Dear Leader Obama says so!  Even GWB said we are not at war with Islam.  It's just the Islamist terrorist whackos that want us dead. Besides, Christians had the Crusades and the Spanish Inquisition. (Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!)"  Excellent points all.  However, the rest of the world seems to have moved beyond the 17th century, perhaps it is time for the Muslim world to do so as well.

Time for a remedial math lesson. I'll keep it simple for KCMO public school attendees.  Depending on the source, there are conservatively 1.5 billion Muslims in the world.  Say one half of one percent of those Muslims are Islamist terrorist whackos, (hang on while I do my guzintas, always wanted to be a double naught spy or a brain surgeon not a mathematician) that gives us a nice round number of 7.5 million certified Islamist terrorist whackos.  I'll give that some time to sink in.... Even if my estimate is off by a factor of 10 (which I sincerely doubt), that's still a whole lot of people seeking our demise.

Liberals and CAIR would say that I'm being an incendiary Islamaphobe.  Well, let's just take a stroll down memory lane and take a look at some of the highlights of the followers of the "religion of peace", shall we?

• 28 Deaths and 100s wounded in protests over the light toasting of a couple of Korans
• Over 90 Iraqi youths stoned to death because they had "emo" haircuts
• 50 Coptic Christians killed in Egypt in 2011 because they're Christian
• 100 deaths as a result of protests initiated by cartoons depicting the prophet Mohammed
• Acid attacks on women
• Homosexual beheadings
• Honor killings

Guess what people?  These are not the result of terrorist attacks!  These incidents have been committed by the "moderate" 99.5% of the world's Islamic population.  And we are surprised that they do not display outrage when the Islamist terrorist whackos kill a bunch of people in a terrorist attack?

A perfect example of the dichotomy between the Western and Islamic world is the difference in how each group reacted to recent events.  Twenty-eight Americans were murdered in Afghanistan because a couple of books were burned.  The majority of the Afghani people have no problems with that.  Sixteen Afghani civilians are killed by ONE soldier, and the Western world is appalled and saddened.

So what can we do?  The free nations of the western world can stand up against the tide of "creeping shariah" and political correctness that emboldens those who seek our destruction.  If you want to immigrate to one of our countries for a better life, great!  You become an American, Canadian, or citizen of the UK.  You support your country and your fellow citizens, regardless of the god you or they pray to.  You do not demand special treatment or exemption from the laws of the countries you now call home.  On this, we must insist.

Our tolerance has become a symbol of weakness.  The welfare of the many must no longer be sacrificed to the will of those who wish us harm.  You are with us or against us.  Treat your neighbors with respect and dignity and they will treat you likewise. Feel free to worship as you wish and allow others to do so as well.  Otherwise, no quarter will be asked and none will be given.  And if you don't like it?  Allah be with you, because no one else will be.
