WARNING: Do NOT read this while eating your breakfast, lunch, dinner, or snack! In fact, after reading this, you probably won't want to eat for a week.
I know SACSTW fans expected this week's Hollywood Hall of Shame winner to be either Spike Lee or Roseanne Barr. In most weeks, you would have been correct. No devoted readers, this week's winner put the EWWWWWW in spew. This week's Hollywood HOs winner is Alicia Silverstone.
As if naming her spawn Bear Blu wasn't bad enough, she premasticates for her 10 month old son. (For KCMO public school students - Mastication: The process by which food is chewed or ground by teeth.) Premastication is where the food is chewed by one person and then spit into the mouth of another. Apparently, things have not been going well career-wise for Ms. Silverstone and she cannot afford a blender or food processor. For those of you with a stout heart and iron stomach, you can view the video below:
Here's what Ms. Silverstone, a vegan, had to say about this on her website:
"I just had a delicious breakfast of miso soup, collards and radish steamed and drizzled with flax oil, cast iron mochi with nori wrapped outside, and some grated daikon. Yum! I fed Bear the mochi and a tiny bit of veggies from the soup…from my mouth to his. It’s his favorite...and mine. He literally crawls across the room to attack my mouth if I’m eating. This video was taken about a month or 2 ago when he was a bit wobbly. Now he is grabbing my mouth to get the food!"
She had me at "drizzled with flax oil"... I really hope she is putting away the money she is saving by not buying MEAT to pay for the decades of therapy this poor boy is going to need. Ms. Silverstone, and I speak for everyone, please make any future movies/videos in which you star... "Spewless". I shudder to think the process she used to breastfeed.
Now that we are all indelibly scarred, I hope everyone has a wonderful meat-filled weekend. But please, everyone chew for themselves.
Amidst all the finger pointing, death threats, and general mayhem going on in Sanford, FL this week, let's not forget that meanwhile our constitutional republic has been fighting for its very life.
Recapping Obama vs the Constitution to this point.....
Round 1 saw the Constitution deliver a sharp jab to Obama, rocking him back on his heels. Dear Leader rebounded in Round 2, forcing his recess appointments past the Constitution's defenses. Bloodied but unbowed, the venerable champ now takes aim at the "transformational" upstart in Round 3- Obamacare.
After 3 days, the arguments before the Supreme Court on Obamacare have ended. Most observers in the court room have indicated it has been a very bad week for Dear Leader and the obamination that is the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
Monday arguments centered around whether the fee imposed on those who don't comply with the individual mandate is in fact a penalty or a tax. This is a critical point, as it gives the Supreme Court its standing to render an opinion. If the fee is deemed a tax, then SCOTUS can not rule on it until someone has actually paid the tax, which won't occur until 2014. If the fee is a penalty, then the court has the ability to rule on it now. Throw out the lawyer-speak, and let's examine those two words. A tax is a sum assessed based on a citizen's actions, ie the purchase of a vehicle, the earning of income, the ownership of a home. A penalty is assessed for a citizen's inaction, i.e. the failure to file a tax return, the failure to comply with local codes, etc. If we allow the government to "tax" us for actions we don't take, then we have lost what little freedom we have left.
Tuesday was the real centerpiece of the case, with discussions of the constitutionality of the individual mandate taking center stage. U.S Solicitor General Donald Verrilli argued Obama's case. Undercover SACSTW correspondents were able to smuggle out video of Verrilli's appearance before the court, Verrilli is the one in the white trunks...........
The Obama administration maintains that the individual mandate is permissible under "the commerce clause" of the U.S. Constitution (Article 1, Section 8). The clause reads.."[The Congress shall have Power] To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States, and with the Indian tribes;". Commerce of course, is economic activity. Buying, selling, manufacturing, shipping, etc. Commerce is not economic inactivity. An individual who does not buy health insurance is NOT participating in commerce. It is as simple as that.
The individual mandate in Obamacare is the most venomous threat to our liberties that the progressive left has ever concocted. It was summed up beautifully by Justice Kennedy when he said that the individual mandate "changes the relationship of the government to the individual in a very fundamental way". You bet it does. If the individual mandate is upheld by the court, then the great American experiment is over.
Yesterday, the court heard arguments about the "severability" of the individual mandate. In other words, if the mandate is properly struck down as unconstitutional, does that invalidate the entire Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Of course it does. Some on the left would have you believe that the individual mandate can just be "carved out" of Obamacare, leaving the rest of its odious and onerous provisions standing. That's like the car dealership telling you they can lower the price of your new car by selling it to you without wheels. The mandate is what allows Obamacare to function, without it the entire bill must be abandoned.
Make no mistake folks, this is it. This is the fight for the very existence of the American way of life that Barack Obama has been itching for since he said this 5 days before the 2008 election..
The future of our nation, the oceans of blood we have shed for our freedom, the chance for our children and grandchildren to live as free citizens of the greatest nation on Earth, all of this now hangs in the balance.
When did the civil right movement go off the rails? Why is there not a single current civil rights leader for children to look up to? Most importantly, has anyone let Bill Belichick know that he is the new face of civil rights?
I don't know the answers to any of those questions, but I have heard the obvious death rattle of one of the most important movements in American history.
Fashion Trend-setter or Civil Rights Leader?
I do not know the cause, but I can give you the symptoms. The movement that began with such visionaries as Rosa Parks, Medgar Evers, and Martin Luther King Jr. has been entrusted to the self-serving and corrupt hands of those like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. People who are more interested in the sounds of their own voices and lining their pockets than the welfare of those they claim to represent.
Perhaps it is a result of the success of the early luminaries. What did all founding civil rights leaders have in common? Sacrifice and risk. They all sacrificed and exposed themselves to incredible risks. Obviously, some even to the point of death.
What risks do today's civil rights "leaders" face? Fire hoses, lynch mobs, National Guardsmen, assassination? I have heard that Al Sharpton faces the possibility of a stern talking-to from the empty suits at MSNBC. The horror! Spike Lee faces criticism for posting the INCORRECT address of George Zimmerman for justice seekers (vigilantes) to exploit. (I hope the poor woman whose address it is sues his ass off!) I'm sure he did it so that the justice seekers (vigilantes) would know where to deliver their petition entreating Mr. Zimmerman to confess to murdering Trayvon Martin in cold-blood. And of course, the fearless Lebron James and the Miami Heat basketball team. Those brave souls really went to the mat for their dangerous political stance. They took a team picture in *gasp!* hoodies!
There is very little common ground between George Clooney and myself politically, but he has my complete respect concerning his work to help stop the true Holocaust that is happening in the Sudan and Dafur. This is a tragedy on an unimaginable scale and his work is to be greatly commended. Unfortunately, there is little monetary or political captial to be gained fighting for this cause, so Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and Spike Lee are unsurprisingly unmotivated to take up its banner.
Such is the sad state of affairs for the once shining civil rights movement. But maybe this is a good thing. Perhaps the necessity of a separate civil rights movement for blacks no longer exists. Of course racism still exists. In some form, it will always exist. But maybe, just maybe, America has matured to the point where, the majority of the time, we only have to worry about people's rights. And you know, I think that would be a very good thing.
*Editor's question: Does anyone with three active brain cells actually believe that no one in the Sanford, Florida police department or district attorney's office has any sense of self-preservation? As I state later in this post, I do not know what happened between Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman. A nation-wide campaign of hysteria is demanding the arrest of George Zimmerman and yet he has not been arrested. The question is, why? The pressure on the law enforcement agencies of Sanford, Florida must be immense. The president is comparing Trayvon Martin to his much-beloved fictitious son for goodness sake! So again, we need to ask, why? I bet Sanford officials would LOVE to arrest George Zimmerman and throw him in shackles immediately. Unless they are willingly sacrificing themselves for George Zimmerman, I would think the evidence corroborating his story would have to be compelling. We shall see. And now on with the show!
Prejudice and stereotypes are GOOD! They save lives every day. Before we get started, lets take a look at the definitions of prejudice and stereotype:
Prejudice (noun)
1. opinion formed beforehand or without knowledge
Stereotype (noun)
1. A conventional, formulaic, and oversimplified conception, opinion, or image.
With the PC Liberal propaganda campaign, these terms have come to have extraordinarily negative meanings. However, without prejudice specifically and stereotypes in general, we would struggle to make it through the day.
Let's start with an example of how prejudice and stereotyping keeps us safe. You are travelling down a 4-lane interstate. You anticipate passing, on the left, a slower vehicle going the same direction as you travelling in the right lane. The vehicle in the right lane turns on its left turn signal indicator. You slow down and do not attempt to pass the vehicle in the right lane. Why? Because you "pre-judge" that the car in the right-hand lane is going to move in front of you and obstruct your ability to safely pass them. From previous experience, you have "stereotyped" cars that have on their turn-signal indicators. Does this mean that the car is actually going to move into your lane? Of course not. But your experience has taught you that this is the most likely scenario.
Does this make you a bad person? Are you unfairly judging the car in the right-hand lane? I mean, just because 95% of cars with their turn-signals on actually turn, doesn't mean that ALL cars with their turn-signals on will turn.
Here is a more specific scenario. You are walking down a city street late at night. You are following a black man in a three-piece suit carrying a briefcase. He turns to face you, sets his briefcase down, says "excuse me", and reaches in his jacket pocket. Are you frightened or alarmed? I wouldn't be. Why? Because I have "prejudged" and "stereotyped" people in suits, with briefcases, and that say "excuse me" to not be threats.
Now say that same black man is wearing a hoodie, baggy jeans, and is carrying a paper bag. He turns to face you, drops the bag, says "Yo!", and reaches into the pocket of his hoodie. Are you frightened or alarmed now? I would be.
Was my reaction based on race? No, it was base on cultural prejudice and stereotypes. Was it even right? Perhaps not. Maybe the black man in the suit was Barack Obama planning to tell me he was raising my taxes, shipping guns to Mexican drug cartels, and generally ignoring the parts of the constitution he finds inconvenient. Conversely, perhaps the black man in the hoodie was pulling out a piece of paper with an address and asking for directions. The human brain uses past experiences and knowledge to evaluate the most likely outcome and responds to that evaluation.
Now lets say that the man in the hoodie was going to ask for directions. However, based on my prejudice and stereotypes, I make the horrible mistake of pulling out a gun and shooting him due to fear. Was that a racially motivated "hate-crime"? Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and probably Barack Obama would say yes! I would submit to you, devoted readers, that it would have been a culturally influenced terrible mistake. A mistake for which I should be punished, but should not be classified as a racially motivated "hate-crime".
Now I do not know what transpired between Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman. Only George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin were privy to that information. Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and other civil rights "activists" portray Trayvon as an innocent upstanding young man who was just going home, and portray George Zimmerman as a racist who hunted him down and murdered him in cold blood. Some news outlets are telling a completely different story. Regardless of what happened, it was a tragic event.
What adds to the tragedy is that some people are using Trayvon Martin's family's, and George Zimmerman's, pain and suffering to bolster their reputations and forward their political agendas. Al Sharpton has done this before. Need a reminder? Google Tawana Brawley.
Regardless of the specific events, it's definitely comforting that bastions of peace, love, and good will, the New Black Panthers, are handling the situation with decorum and restraint. Their call for patience and understanding can be found here: NewBlackPanther.com
Fearful reactions based on cultural influence ARE NOT equivalent to racially motivated hate-crimes.
The state of California has a law on its books that states when an unlicensed driver is pulled over by police, their vehicle SHALL be impounded for 30 days. Pshaw! says the Los Angeles Police Department. LAPD Chief Charlie Beck has announced the department's new policy of ignoring state law. The LAPD will not impound the vehicles of unlicensed drivers as long as they can produce some other kind of ID. Of course, the vast majority of unlicensed drivers in Los Angeles are illegal immigrants. Chief Beck said the new policy was simply leveling the playing field, as many unlicensed drivers have low-income jobs and can not afford the fines associated with impoundment. "It's about fairness" said Beck. Glad to know that the LAPD is dedicated to leveling the playing field for......criminals. In related news, banks in LA will now be required to keep all cash reserves in a laundry basket in the parking lot, so as to "level the playing field" for bank robbers. Chief Beck and the 4 members of the L.A. Police Commission that voted in favor of the new policy should be relieved of their duties immediately.
Somebody alert Kobayashi!
The Texas Rangers will be selling hot dogs at their stadium this year. Not exactly earth-shattering news right? It is when the hot dog sells for $26! The Champion Dog is a one pound weinie, served with chili, onions, and cheese on a 2 foot long bun. The Rangers are also installing self-service defibrillator stations on the concourse.
A video of Barack Obama's next Secretary of Education has surfaced on Youtube. She is the one in the passenger seat....

Vice-President Biden (aka The Gift That Keeps Giving) was at a re-election campaign stop in New Jersey this week when he broke out this little gem about the raid on bin Laden's Pakistani compound.
"You can go back 500 years. You cannot find a more audacious plan. Never knowing for certain. We never had more than a 48% probability that bin Laden was there."
Uhh, what? Did our Vice-President really refer to the bin Laden raid as the most audacious military action in the last 500 years? Before you libs scratch a Grand Canyon size furrow in your melon, let's define audacious...
from dictionary.com.....Audacious: extremely bold or daring, recklessly brave, fearles; Synonyms (that means words with the same meaning Professor Biden): courageous ,intrepid, dauntless, venturesome
I have no problem using any and all of those words to describe the men who carried out the raid on bin Laden, but to credit Dear Leader with the "most audacious plan of the last 500 years" is really a bit much, even for the human hyperbola Joe Biden. Yeah yeah, I know. Just look it up yourselves.
The Crew would like to humbly offer a couple examples of "audacious" military actions of the past that Professor Biden might want to learn about....
June 6, 1944: The invasion of Normandy involved landing 160,000 troops, and required the services of an additional 195,000 naval personnel and 5,000 vessels. Oh yeah, it resulted in the freeing of a entire continent from Nazi (the real ones) tyranny.
Dec. 25, 1776: General George Washington and his ragtag Continental Army cross the Delaware River under cover of night to surprise the Hessian troops at Trenton, New Jersey. I understand that General Washington went on to have a nice career in politics, but according to Dear Leader he didn't make the top 4 Presidents of all time. Seriously.....here's the video.
SACSTW readers, here is the first quiz from Professor Biden's Military History 101 class:
Which of the great military leaders pictured below is the most bold, daring, brave, and fearless?
Scary thought right? The very concept that 7.5 million people actively seek your death is an idea that should give anyone pause. Well, the good news just keeps coming. They don't just want you dead, but your family, friends, co-workers, and neighbors as well. Who are these people and why do they want to kill me, you might ask. There is a single answer to both questions. They want you dead because they are Muslim and you are not.
This is the "Moderate" 95.5%.... ?
I can hear it now, "Whoa, Sahib! Islam is the religion of peace. Dear Leader Obama says so! Even GWB said we are not at war with Islam. It's just the Islamist terrorist whackos that want us dead. Besides, Christians had the Crusades and the Spanish Inquisition. (Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!)" Excellent points all. However, the rest of the world seems to have moved beyond the 17th century, perhaps it is time for the Muslim world to do so as well.
Time for a remedial math lesson. I'll keep it simple for KCMO public school attendees. Depending on the source, there are conservatively 1.5 billion Muslims in the world. Say one half of one percent of those Muslims are Islamist terrorist whackos, (hang on while I do my guzintas, always wanted to be a double naught spy or a brain surgeon not a mathematician) that gives us a nice round number of 7.5 million certified Islamist terrorist whackos. I'll give that some time to sink in.... Even if my estimate is off by a factor of 10 (which I sincerely doubt), that's still a whole lot of people seeking our demise.
Liberals and CAIR would say that I'm being an incendiary Islamaphobe. Well, let's just take a stroll down memory lane and take a look at some of the highlights of the followers of the "religion of peace", shall we?
28 Deaths and 100s wounded in protests over the light toasting of a couple of Korans
Over 90 Iraqi youths stoned to death because they had "emo" haircuts
50 Coptic Christians killed in Egypt in 2011 because they're Christian
100 deaths as a result of protests initiated by cartoons depicting the prophet Mohammed
Acid attacks on women
Homosexual beheadings
Honor killings
Guess what people? These are not the result of terrorist attacks! These incidents have been committed by the "moderate" 99.5% of the world's Islamic population. And we are surprised that they do not display outrage when the Islamist terrorist whackos kill a bunch of people in a terrorist attack?
A perfect example of the dichotomy between the Western and Islamic world is the difference in how each group reacted to recent events. Twenty-eight Americans were murdered in Afghanistan because a couple of books were burned. The majority of the Afghani people have no problems with that. Sixteen Afghani civilians are killed by ONE soldier, and the Western world is appalled and saddened.
So what can we do? The free nations of the western world can stand up against the tide of "creeping shariah" and political correctness that emboldens those who seek our destruction. If you want to immigrate to one of our countries for a better life, great! You become an American, Canadian, or citizen of the UK. You support your country and your fellow citizens, regardless of the god you or they pray to. You do not demand special treatment or exemption from the laws of the countries you now call home. On this, we must insist.
Our tolerance has become a symbol of weakness. The welfare of the many must no longer be sacrificed to the will of those who wish us harm. You are with us or against us. Treat your neighbors with respect and dignity and they will treat you likewise. Feel free to worship as you wish and allow others to do so as well. Otherwise, no quarter will be asked and none will be given. And if you don't like it? Allah be with you, because no one else will be.
